Access at convention52

We try to ensure that people with disabilities can enjoy Convention52 to the fullest, and have collated the following information to make it as easy as possible.

Getting to the Venue

By Train: From Banbury train station, there is wheelchair access to the station entrance where there are two separate taxi ranks, both with wheelchair accessible cars.

The venue is only 5 minutes from the train station on foot, with wheelchair access all the way via the Castle Quay shopping centre, through the new ‘Lock 29’ and over the brand new (ramped) bridge right to the venue door. 

By Taxis: If you are arriving by taxi, you will be able to be dropped off at the main entrance. If you also require a pick up, please advise the taxi firm and they will be permitted to pick you up from the main entrance.  

By Car: The Venue have facilities for disabled parking at the venue. Follow our ‘Getting here’ instructions for reaching the venue, then head for disabled parking bays.

Getting around the Venue and disabled facilities

Convention52 will be upstairs a GF club, Banbury. this floor is accessible to wheelchair users, via lifts, and have wheelchair friendly toilet facilities.

Wheelchairs – available from the Castle Quay car park’s own ‘shire mobility’ office.  The number of wheelchairs they have available is limited, so if you’ve got your own, please bring it with you.

Scooters – available to hire from the same location. 

Convention52 organisers strongly advise visitors to call Castle Quay shire mobility to  pre-book equipment to avoid disappointment.
